Purpose and scope
LabelOps Lab turns common label-production calculations into inspectable tools. Its scope includes roll geometry, ribbon planning, thermal-printer raster dimensions, GS1 check-digit arithmetic and job-cost estimation. It does not sell identifiers, certify barcode compliance or select products for a user.
How calculations are developed
Each published calculator uses deterministic browser-side code, states its formula and assumptions, includes a worked example and exposes practical limitations. Shared mathematical functions are covered by automated tests using known fixtures and edge cases. Inputs are validated before calculation, and displayed rounding is kept separate from intermediate arithmetic.
Source policy
Technical claims are checked against primary documentation where it is publicly available. Examples include current GS1 material for identification-key structure and check digits, and printer-manufacturer documentation for printhead resolution and command behavior. A source supports the cited technical point only; it does not imply endorsement of LabelOps Lab.
Editorial and update policy
Pages are updated when calculation behavior, source material or explanatory content changes. Review dates are not advanced merely to make a page appear fresh. Search demand may help prioritize useful work, but new pages are published only when they provide a distinct function or substantial additional guidance.
Independence and privacy
LabelOps Lab is not affiliated with or certified by GS1, Zebra Technologies or another standards body. Calculator inputs remain in the browser and are not submitted to a calculation API. There are currently no active affiliate placements or paid product recommendations.
